Note on bag color. Bags are a natural unbleached cotton color and are in general more of a natural cotton tan color than the bag pictured here. They dye beautifully.
These bags may contain sizing or machine oils in spots that resist the dye, creating a bag that is mostly dyed but with some resisted areas. It is always best to wash fabrics before dyeing, though that doesn't necessarily mean everything present in the fabric that is blocking dye penetration will wash out. The sizing may just become part of the tie dye design.
